Between excessive dogmatism and excessive skepticism.

Science is not faith. Science must stay between two extreme ends of the spectrum.

The current narrative of “ trust the science” has lead to the reactive anti-vax sentiments, which to some degree is justified considering how closely the metadata for vaccine studies kept locked.

Science is not a political instrument for shutting down debate and discussions.

Reason

The real reason for this deficiency of apolitical science commenters who explain,simplify (not make simple) and not look down upon the ‘plebs’.

No one wants to berated. This is the reason some countries had better compliance in adherence to lockdowns or vaccination. Luckily for India the current leadership all around choose the apolitical path unlike America.

Need for empathy.

An empathetic approach yields better results for the community. It is what encourages healthy debate.
